SUMMARY:Nashville Nights 2021
DESCRIPTION:Rescheduled due to a fire at the winery: Saturday\, May 15th  29th at 6:00pm. \n\n\n\n\nAt a time in the music industry when gimmicks and multi-million dollar stage productions often overshadow the music\, Eldon Huff makes the kind of music we wish were still being made. With his simple\, straight to the point\, no frills approach to both his stage show and recordings\, Huff delivers each time out with timeless instrumentation played by talented musicians and songs that speak of everyday life and living. A 2015 debut release titled\, Tough Times and the Truth\, spoke of those things. Bringing praise from his peers in the industry as well as fans from all around the globe. \nAlthough the road to success hasn’t always been an easy one\, from a sour record deal and sideman gigs with artists such as Eric Church\, Andy Griggs and Keith Anderson\, the path of independence has always been the path of choice.\nLater this spring\, Huff is set to release a new 10 song album. The effort\, titled “Drifter”\, is produced by\, Grammy Award winning producer\, Ben Fowler who is best known for his work with Eric Clapton\, Lynyrd Skynyrd\, Meat Loaf and .38 Special. The title track\, written by Jameson Rodgers\, Anthony Olympia and Brent Cobb\, will be release as the albums first single in late April\, followed by the full album release in late May / early June on High West Records. \n\n\n\n\nPurchase General Admission – Open bar seats or Adirondack chairs or purchase a table for 4\, 6\, or 10 guests.  All reserved tables will include a charcuterie board. A chef’s choice BBQ menu will also be available along with ice cold beers\, fine wine and handcrafted cocktails!  \nPurchase your tickets here …>

SUMMARY:Midwest - a Costal Beach Sprint Race
DESCRIPTION:Buckeye Lake Winery Hosts Inaugural Cranberry Bog Challenge  on Saturday. May 22. Also\, this year’s challenge will feature a first-time event for the Midwest – a Coastal Beach Sprint race. The race will initiate on the South shore of Buckeye Lake at Fairfield Beach 9AM\, Sunday May 23rd\, as the conclusion of a two-day camp for invited youth rowers from Cincinnati\, Hamilton and Columbus Ohio. \nMarc Oria selected the Buckeye Lake site for the introduction of Beach Sprints in the Midwest. “This is a beautiful area and what is most exciting is the opportunity young people in their boats\, on the beach and at the Winery will all have to be in on the action.” Marc has been leading development of the Beach Sprints sport with US Rowing and World Rowing leaders since the announcement Beach Sprints events are on track to be introduced at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. \nMarc is a Medical Researcher at Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati and has loved rowing since his youth in Spain where Beach and Coastal rowing have been big parts of every club. “We want to send a full team from the United States to Oeras\, Portugal this October and get a Youth Team working toward the next Youth Olympics. Buckeye Lake and Buckeye Lake Winery sites will attract Midwest athletes looking for a new and exciting sport.” \nTo get them started\, Tracy and Laura Higginbotham\, owners of Buckeye Lake Winery\, are offering “Discover Rowing” experience; 4-hour rowing sessions headed up by Ryan Worth\, US Rowing certified coach and head coach of the University of Tennessee\, Chattanooga. Ryan has run All America Rowing Camps across the country and guides complete novices to an understanding of the fundamentals of boat handling\, rowing and safety. The sessions will be for a maximum of 36 youths (12 each session) (ages 12 and up) on Saturday May 22 at 9am-1pm and 2pm-6pm and Sunday\, May 23 at 9am-2pm. \nBuckeye Lake Winery will be providing boxed lunches for the camp participants and\, thanks to community donations\, the cost will be $30/Youth participant. Ohio Department of Health and CDC Guidelines will be adhered to for this event. \n \nTo kick off the weekend\, at 10am Saturday\, May 22nd\,  we will row the first ever Cranberry Bog Challenge race starting and ending at the Winery and crossing the Lake to circle the historic Cranberry Bog Nature Preserve. Racing will be in open water racing boats\, with experienced open water rowers racing to be top spot on a new All-Time Leader Board for future racers to beat as they develop their skills. “We have some wonderful athletes in our membership and invite youth from the three counties bordering the Lake to participate. We are making the opportunity available for all our families to see what they can do. Thanks and come on out and see us.” \nFor more information\, please Contact: Bill Donoho at wbdonoho@gmail.com for rowing/race questions. Please Contact: Elisha Rose at elisharosegsc@gmail.com for Press information\, specific questions related to Buckeye Lake Winery and event details. Please Contact: Peggy Mahler at ssskier51@yahoo.com for questions regarding your interest in Discover Rowing and whether you or your children can participate.

The annual Buckeye Lake Songwriter’s Fest. \n \nPurchase Singer Songwriter Tickets Here!\nHeadliners:\nBrice Long\n \nBrice has enjoyed a successful 25 year music career. As a songwriter he has had cuts with Garth Brooks\, George Strait\, Chris Stapleton\, Hank Williams Jr\, Randy Houser\, Josh Turner\, Reba McEntire\, Gary Allan\, Chris Young\, Jon Pardi\, The Grascals\, Casey James\, Darryl Worley\, Randy Travis\, Craig Campbell\, Gretchen Wilson\, John Michael Montgomery\, Porter Wagoner and many more. Brice’s songwriting hits include the #1 singles “Heartache On The Dance Floor” by Jon Pardi and “Nothing On But The Radio” by Gary Allan. Randy Houser’s “Like a Cowboy”\, a song that also garnered Brice a CMA nomination for Song of the Year. Other recent chart toppers are Randy Houser’s debut single\, “Anything Goes”\, “Today” from Gary Allan\, Casey James’ “Let’s Don’t Call It A Night” and Jon Pardi’s\, “What I Can’t Put Down”. Brice Long is signed to Sony / ATV Music Publishing. He is a native of Hopkinsville\, KY. His self-titled album is available on iTunes or wherever digital music is streamed and sold. \nMonty Holmes \nMonty Holmes\n“I’m gonna keep doing this until they run me off!” \nAfter over 30 years of writing country music in Nashville\, running Monty off doesn’t seem very likely. Monty’s love of traditional country music was first instilled in him as a child growing up in Lubbock\, Texas. With a rich musical history\, Lubbock provided a nurturing environment for young Monty. His grandfather (who played fiddle\, guitar\, and piano) exposed him to a great record collection and artists like Jimmie Rodgers and Hank Williams. Half asleep in the back seat of a green Ford Torino\, somewhere between Lubbock and Louisiana\, an 18-year-old Monty heard the voice of Merle Haggard on the radio. Then and there\, he decided country music would be his life’s work. From Ray Price to the Rolling Stones\, Holmes’ songs reflect his varied musical influences. As a young adult\, Holmes formed a band and moved to Austin. It was there that he recorded the song “In the Arms of a Beautiful Woman”\, which became his first regional radio hit. In 1983\, Monty took the plunge and moved to Nashville. There he took a job as a respiratory therapist to pay the bills\, but he also worked diligently as a staff writer and singer on demo recordings. Through his demo work\, Holmes quickly gained a reputation for his voice\, but it was songwriting that he really loved. Throughout the years\, Monty has worked with and learned from the best: Whitey Shafer\, Hank Cochran\, Glenn Martin\, Don Sampson\, Donnie Kees\, Tony Mullins\, Gerry House\, Kent Blazy\, Leslie Satcher\, Scotty Emerick\, Brice Long\, Al Anderson\, Jon Randall\, Norro Wilson\, Wynn Varble\, Buddy Cannon and Phillip White\, to name a few. Monty has been a staff writer for country music institutions Acuff- Rose Publishing Company\, Combine Music\, Malaco/Peer Music and EMI Music publishing. Holmes has penned several hit songs for George Strait\, including the chart topper “I Know She Still Loves Me\,” the top five “When Did You Stop Loving Me\,” and from the 2009 Grammy award winning Country Album of the Year\, “Troubadour” and “House of Cash.” In 2009\, “Troubadour” was honored with the Nashville Songwriter’s Association International’s “One of the 10 Songs I Wish I Had Written” award\, which is voted on by fellow songwriters. Monty co-wrote Lee Ann Womack’s debut single\, “Never Again\, Again\,” as well as “What I Do the Best” for John Michael Montgomery. He has had additional cuts by Sunny Sweeney\, Gene Watson\, Rhonda Vincent\, Colt Ford\, Joanna Smith\, Clay Walker\, Neal McCoy\, Lane Turner\, Laura Bryna\, the legendary Johnny Bush and George Jones. Holmes is currently an ASCAP writer\, but is a multiple BMI “million-air\,” an honor for writers of songs with over 1 million broadcast performances. Monty travels across the country performing for corporations\, fans and charitable benefits. In recent years\, Monty has rediscovered his love of wood working through his company\, Storied Design. \nDirect Support: \nTaylor Goyette \nNo stranger to hard work\, Taylor Goyette literally crawled through a river of  shit to get where he is today – constantly releasing new music and writing songs full time in Nashville\, TN – including Whitney Daane (Kobalt: Maverick) who signed Taylor to her Kobalt joint venture Oaangerous  Entertainment in August 2019. Only 5 short years ago\, while many of his peers were heading off to college\, Taylor went to work pouring cement\, laying sod\, and…yes…trudging through excrement while cleaning sewers in Cape Coral. Florida – saving up money till he could hang up his badge at the water reclamation department\, thoroughly wash his hands\, and follow his dream to Music City. It was quickly obvious to everyone he encountered that Taylor had brought that work ethic with him when he moved to Nashville\, paying his dues with a smile as he relentlessly made the rounds through writers rooms and the local stages – ultimately catching the attention of Trey Bruce (Emmy winning songwriter: discovered/signed Chris Janson and Brothers Osboume) who signed Taylor to a management deal with his company GaloreMGMT in the Fall of 2018. \nAs an artist. Taylor has many eclectic influences that range all over the spectrum of american music\, dating back to the days of Hank Williams. Elvis Presley\, Bruce Springsteen and more recently Eric Church. A breath of fresh air\, with his energetic charisma and powerful stage presence\, it’s no doubt that he awaits the big time playing to sold out arenas one day. \nKelsey Lamb \nWith poignant lyrics\, enchanting melodies and a sunny southern charm\, newcomer Kelsey Lamb is undoubtedly a star-in-the-making. Raised in Little Rock\, Arkansas\, Lamb ventured to Nashville\, Tennessee to pursue her dream in country music. \nAs a singer-songwriter\, Lamb made a name for herself as a vocalist with a rich\, emotionally transparent voice\, influenced by the likes of Alison Krauss\, Miranda Lambert\, Carrie Underwood\, Thomas Rhett and Tim McGraw. performing since the age of ten\, Lamb officially kicked off her career in 2016 with the release of her holiday EP\, Christmas with Kelsey. Several songs from the project were featured on Hallmark’s “Christmas Wedding Planner” and UPtv’s “A Very Country Christmas\,” in which Lamb also acted alongside country artist Deanna Carter. In 2018\, she released her debut original “Warning Sign\,” which was featured on the soundtrack for Lifetime original movie Bod Stepmother. Lamb followed that release with two more singles -“Only for the Summer” and “Little by Little\,” which alone has accumulated over 280\,000 Spotify streams and charted on MusicRow’s Country Breakout chart. In 2019\, she released two additional singles – “Girl at the Bar” and “Who’s Counting.” Lamb kicked off 2020 by releasing two singles\, “Talk To Me” & “Where Do You Go” \nThe multi-talented Lamb has appeared in multiple movies\, including Hallmark’s “Christmas in Homestead” and “Traces\,” where she played the character of Zia. She’s also experienced a successful touring career\, performing at venues\, large and small\, both as a headliner and opener\, including opening for Kenny Rogers in Duqube\, Iowa on his farewell tour. She has also performed with Alan Thicke on tour for Kenny Rogers’ The Toy Shoppe Tour across the United States\, and performed on stage again with Thicke at B.B. Kings in New York City in January 2016.
